Hey There!

I'm Velvet, a modern pinup standing ou in small town New Zealand.

I'm a fashion designer, blogger and pinup model making clothing inspired by vintage aesthetics and pop culture.
My aim is to give people confidence through style, allowing you to create and express your own identity using limited edition and custom made garments.

As a pinup and vintage enthusiast, I take cues from the past when styling my photoshoots, referencing different eras and circumstances using my varied costume wardrobe and unusual locations. Over the years I've worked hard to get to a place where I'm comfortable in my own skin, so body confidence and female empowerment lie close to my heart. By sharing my lingerie and boudoir images I hope to encourage other women to own their bodies and be proud of their sexuality.

To me, being a modern pinup means taking inspiration from the strong women of the past, to provide strong role models for the future. I believe in a life less bitchy, more kitschy. where women educate and support each other, rejoice in beautiful things and lift each other up instead of competing.

My heart belongs to my ever patient husband Duke Debonair and our adopted dog Echo, impractical clothing, and eating foods I shouldn't. I despise chauvinists, mayonnaise and am the absolute worst at telling jokes!

Here in my online boudoir you'll find my fashion design work and feedback from my ecstatic (ridiculously glamorous, fierce and beautiful) clients. You'll discover my pinup gallery, and explore fashion, pinup modelling, vintage lifestyle topics and the occasional recipe on my blog.
(Because I'm well rounded. Like a biscuit.)

I hope you'll follow my less bitchy, more kitschy adventures on Instagram or Facebook, and find my inspirations, resources and videos on Pinterest and Youtube!

With style and sass,
Velvet DeCollete xox
