Hey There!

I'm Velvet, Miss Pinup New Zealand 2017, modern pinup girl and fashion designer living in small town New Zealand.

I've embarked on a journey of self exploration through style, inspired by the timeless femininity of vintage and the fun of pop culture. I believe the power of fashion can change our lives, helping us strut through each day as the most confident, happy, sassy versions of ourselves.

As a pinup model and vintage enthusiast, I draw inspiration from the past when styling my photoshoots, I adore implying different eras and contexts using my constantly expanding wardrobe and unusual locations. Body confidence and female empowerment lie close to my heart. I believe in educating and supporting each other, lifting each other up - not competing. Over the years I've worked hard to get to a place where I'm comfortable in my own skin. By sharing my lingerie and alternative images I hope to inspire other women to own their bodies and be proud of their sexuality.

My love for making people feel incredible influences my design work too. I work closely with my clients to design clothes and costumes that amplify their personalities and confidence. Life is but a stage, so I make my clients the lead actors.

I live for my ever patient husband Duke Debonair and our Staffy X Echo, impractical clothing and eating foods I shouldn't. I despise chauvinists, mayonnaise and am the absolute worst at telling jokes!

Here in my online boudoir you'll find my fashion design work, and feedback from my ecstatic clients. You'll find my pinup gallery, and my blog where you'll find my take on fashion, food, art, DIY, more food and pinup life.
(Because I'm well rounded. Like a biscuit.)

I hope you'll join my adventures on Instagram or Facebook, and check out my inspirations, resources and videos on Pinterest and Youtube!

With style and sass,
                Velvet DeCollete xox
